Shadow & Memory

A few nights ago I had the first opportunity in my entire life to be at my grandparents home all by myself. Nothing was off limits, nobody was going to accidentally catch me rummaging through the drawers or secretly trying on my grandma's fur coat... These are only a few of the photos from that night, the rest shall remain our family secrets...

The end of March

Writing my story in the hours
of the day like sentences on the page
of the week in the chapter of
the month of the lesson of
the year in the time of
my age in the book of
my life on the stage
in your eyes.

All the marks I make
and hands I hold
and pictures I take
are the letters I leave in the wake
drifting towards the sea of infinity
only to evaporate.

Behind My Eyes.

Look through my skin and behind my eyes.
Inside you will find your reflection resides.

He relished these quiet moments...
                                  ...these reflective moments

spent in such peculiar combinations of circumstances.

The way his abstracted familiarity with his own past
mixed with his relaxed appreciation of the ever-present sensation
of new possibilities within each moment.

because the moments he loved to subconsciously create for himself
weren't just
   old,     new,
                   and     infinite
    simultaneously

they were aesthetically arresting
and he appreciated all the irreproducible details.

Somehow he could manage, for a few seconds
                                                                          of instant eternity,

To extract a thrilling essence from the marrow of mundanity.

seemingly creating something extraordinary
                                   out of nothing in particular.

If this was not what it felt like to be fully aware one was alive,
he could not imagine any other experience that would.

But just as unexpectedly as the feeling had arrived,
it quietly stepped out the back door
   and was gone.

And even though he was left with no special memento
        or record of his time,
he had a vague sense of certainty that
what he could not hold onto
                             would never be far off,
and even with no promise to be found again,
somehow, it could   never   be     lost.

Lessons from the Nothingness

I feel simultaneously like a Star and a Black Hole.
Full and Empty; Full of Emptiness. I'm not necessarily saying it to be sad about it; It just kinda is what it is, and I feel like this is the Natural State of All Things.

Contradictions, Balance, Self-Opposition, Nullification, Infinity, 'Limitless is Meaningless' is meaningful because it sets up a limit. The limitless is held and formed within the limited; Infinite is within the Finite. Limitless self contained in a limited form, in a limited world.

Paraphrasing Emerson, we animate what we can, and we see only what we animate. Nature and Books belong to the eyes that see them; these words belong to you who read them. There are always sunsets, and there is always genius; but only a few hours, so serene, that we can relish either. Direct strokes we were never given the power to make; all our blows glance, all our hits are accidental. The Indian who was laid under a curse that the wind should not blow on him, nor water flow to him, nor fire burn him, is a type of us all.

But when you compare Everything as it is to the state of Nothingness itself, you have to choose Everything every time.

Eternity Sees All

July 3rd, 2012    2:10am    Andrew's apartment, Nrth + Wstrn

So i just had this idea, that maybe somehow Gravity is an effect of perception...
like the pull of gravity is in relation to how much perception is being drawn in. like 'Black Holes' are exactly what the holes in our own eyes are, taking in all the Light. these 'Black Holes' though simply have no lid. the Eternally All-Seeing.
I have one such hole inside me as well. An ever-watchful eye, the Always Observer. the one with nothing to say. in fact i have an entire Universe inside of me. my own universe. it is the universe which makes up the fabric of this one. the Universe of Ideas and Concepts, the Memory box, the Storyteller. and all i can ever try to do is Reflect the light that I Alone see from the Universe within outwards into this Universe I Share with others. this little light of mine, im gonna let it shine, whether you're watching or not, Eternity Sees All.

11:02am
Life is like rediscovering a forgotten memory.

11:10am
"You make me want to know you."
said the seer to the seen.
Well here I go again, for the first time.

12:13
the compression of the Universe through the pinpoint of the vortex causes the combustion of consciousness.

1:00 pm
like waves of consciousness radiate and are emitted from the combustion of all the information in the universe condensed and compressed into one single point of awareness.
=> 'gravitational lens' effect around super dense objects.

6:00 am
Tree Falls in Backyard at Home.

1:10pm
One thing vs. another is becoming one thing along with another, one thing in relation to an other.

The Future Begins in The Now

for quite some time now, probably since 2009 when my father almost died, ive been living as if the world were going to end any second. every second has felt like that for me for these few years, and it forced and granted me to be able to live life in a fuller way than ive ever known. to actually do the things ive really wanted to do, and to say things to people ive always needed to say. to carry through on the things that the voice inside me tells me to do. and to become the person i've always wanted to be.

i dont believe in plans anymore. if things are meant to happen, they will happen. i dont count on any idea i have for the 'future' because i know everything is always changing. ive been living in the now.

i think just today though, i've decided i need to start thinking about there actually being a 'long' journey ahead for me still. that there is a future for me i want to invest in. and the greatest thing is now, that ive learned how to use each present moment as a seed for the future. i've been able to watch now how things i do simply because my soul tells me i need to, in the moment, dont actually end in the moment, they grow into the future, each moment is reshaping the future. and when i follow my heart in the moment, it is reshaping the future to match up with my true hearts desire.

actual change can only take place in the present, in the NOW, then it ripples out into the infinite future. you have to make your future in the now.

by following my intuition in every moment. about all the big and small things... i've learned what they mean when they say "when you are hungry, eat. when you are tired, sleep."

a plant will show you it needs water by wilting, and so you water it. in the same way, life itself will show what is needed of you in each moment, as long as you always look life in the face.

i act, the universe reacts; the universe acts, i react.
be present, be awake, pay attention, always, every moment. right now.

life is an incredible journey.
